A love letter to my daughter, whose presence transformed my life in ways words cannot even possibly express. This poem is a reflection of the hope, purpose & strength she has given me & a promise that she will always be loved, protected and encouraged to shine.
‘Hello my darling- I love you more than words can say- your heart is the mould and mine, the clay. Our souls forever in sync, with the bond that we share. I’ll love you forever more- till the end, without care. No matter that of my past, my present or my future. Your life is my guide- you are indeed my tutor. Teaching me how to love again and cherish life more than I once did. How can I ever repay you? Without your birth there’s no doubt- I would have gone off grid. See, you made me understand, that of my purpose in life; to care for and protect you- even through my strife. My fight to live again, is strong now that you’re here. My mind/the world- is now undoubtedly clear. I shall always teach you strength, boldness and to care. Care for people, care for things and to always share. Share your love with the world and show everyone who you are. One day babygirl- you will be a star.’
