Welcome to your self-care

Hi- I’m glad you’re here.

In a world that rarely slows down, taking time to care for yourself isn't a luxury—it's a necessity.🤎

So many of us spend our days caring for others (which definitely isn’t a bad thing!), rushing from one responsibility to the next, often forgetting to pause & to check in with ourselves. Self-care doesn't have to be expensive or complicated. It is also NOT being selfish! Sometimes it's simply making a cup of herbal tea, stepping outside to feel the sunshine on your face or grass in between your toes, taking a few deep breaths—nice & slow—writing in a journal, or sitting quietly with your thoughts for a few moments. Being mindful. Of YOU.

Creating a simple morning ritual can gently shape the rest of your day. Before reaching for your phone & being busy creating them little negative thoughts that happen to accidentally pop into our minds;

  1. Take a moment to breathe deeply

  2. Read some positive affirmations (you can find my affirmation cards here)

  3. Write down three things or more you're grateful for

  4. Spend a few peaceful minutes in nature with your bare feet on the grass

  5. Try some gentle yoga.

These small, daily habits can help you feel calmer, more grounded & more connected to yourself & the universe around you.

Our minds need the same love & attention that we give our bodies when eating more wholesome. Regular check ins with yourself allows you to recognise when you're feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or emotionally drained before those feelings begin to take over. Giving yourself permission to rest, slow down & simply be can improve your mental well-being, reduce anxiety, increase resilience, improve brain fog help you approach life with greater clarity & purpose.

🤎My nature collection affirmation cards were lovingly created to encourage moments of stillness. Each card offers gentle words of encouragement, alongside thoughtful reflections to help you reconnect with yourself, Mother Earth, build confidence, practise gratitude & embrace a slower, more mindful way of living. Whether you begin your morning with one card or reach for one whenever you need a little encouragement, they are designed to become a comforting part of your daily self-care routine—just make sure to shuffle your cards & pick one out at random before use.

I truly believe that healing begins with the small things we choose to do consistently but healing also has a lot to do with discipline too. A quiet walk, nourishing food, time spent in nature, kind words spoken to yourself, discipline & moments of intentional rest all help create a healthier, happier mind & body.

  • You deserve to slow down.

  • You deserve peace.

  • You deserve to care for yourself just as much as you care for everyone else.

I hope the resources I've created inspire you to build simple daily rituals that bring more calm, confidence, joy & balance into your life—one gentle step at a time..

How foods can influence our self-care

Self-care isn't only about taking time to rest, practise mindfulness or speak kindly to ourselves. The way we nourish our bodies can also be a beautiful form of self-care.

Choosing wholesome, nourishing foods is one way of showing our bodies that we value & care for them. Our bodies work hard for us every single day & giving it a variety of nourishing foods can support our overall health, energy & well-being.

I believe in looking at our bodies as our temples—something to nurture rather than neglect. Fresh fruits/veg, nourishing proteins, healthy fats & plenty of water, botanicals can all form part of a balanced approach to caring for ourselves.

And it's not about being perfect or restricting everything we enjoy. It's about becoming more mindful of what we're putting into our bodies & noticing how different choices make us feel.

There is also something incredibly empowering about preparing a wholesome meal for yourself. Feeding yourself well can become a moment of mindfulness in itself.

When we combine nourishing food with rest, movement, nature, mindfulness & positive self-talk, we're creating a more complete approach to self-care—caring for both our physical body & our mind.

Because self-care isn't selfish.

It's choosing to nurture the life you've been given.

Discipline

“Discipline can be an important part of changing your habits & supporting your healing journey but I think it's helpful to see it as self-respect rather than punishment.”

When you're trying to nourish your body through a more intentional lifestyle, the results often aren't immediate. It takes consistency to keep choosing habits that support you, especially on the days when you're tired, stressed or tempted to fall back into old routines but DO NOT give up! You’ve got this—let me be your gentle encouragement.

Mindfulness can help you become more aware of why you're making certain choices. Instead of simply following a strict diet or lifestyle, you can begin listening to your body, noticing how different foods make you feel, recognising when you're genuinely hungry, and becoming aware of how stress, emotions & your environment influence your choices.

Discipline creates consistency, one healthy meal or meditation session won't transform everything overnight… It's the small choices you repeatedly make that can gradually become—shaping your lifestyle.

Discipline might look like:

  1. Preparing nourishing food instead of reaching for ready made meals.

  2. Making time for movement, rest & fresh air.

  3. Taking a few minutes each morning to breathe & check in with yourself.

  4. Practising mindfulness even when you feel busy.

  5. Staying committed—even when progress feels slow.

  6. Giving yourself grace when you have an imperfect day & simply beginning again.

Your mindset matters too

Healing & well-being aren't about being perfect! A healthy mindset means understanding that your temple deserves patience, care, time & compassion.

Rather than thinking, "I've failed because I ate something unhealthy," you can think, "That choice didn't make me feel my best, so what can I choose next time?"

The shift from punishment to awareness can make healthy living much more sustainable & rather enjoyable.

Your mind, body & emotions are connected. When you slow down enough to check in with yourself, you can start asking:

How am I feeling today? Why am I feeling this way?
What does my temple need?
What is making me feel overwhelmed?
What can I do today to care for myself?

In such a demanding world, choosing to slow down, nourish yourself & remain consistent with healthy habits can make you feel well can be a powerful form of self-care.

Discipline isn't about being hard on yourself. It's about caring enough about your future self to keep showing up for her.

What I do—as a busy mum of 3

As a mother of three, I know how difficult it can be to find time for yourself. Between the kids, the house, work & everything else life brings, it can sometimes feel like there simply aren't enough hours in the day.

For me, I've found that self-care doesn't have to mean taking a whole day for myself. Sometimes, it's just finding little pockets of time throughout daily life.

I often wake up a little earlier than the children, even if it's only 20 minutes, so I can have some quiet time to myself before the day begins. I use this time for my little morning health ritual —

  1. preparing my daily health juice/smoothie

  2. taking my honey, turmeric & black pepper inflammatory shot

  3. taking my Lion's Mane, mushroom tinctures

  4. having my vitamins, organic plant powders

It's a simple way of starting my morning by doing something nourishing for myself.

In the evening, once the children are asleep, I like to make myself a warm cacao. I can sit & slow down for a little while—doing some overdue work on my wellness brand, businesses or content while enjoying a peaceful moment to myself.

These may seem small but they make a difference over time. Self-care doesn't always have to be big or complicated. Sometimes it's simply giving yourself 20 minutes, making something nourishing, sitting quietly with your favourite drink & checking in with how you're feeling.

As mums, it's so easy to put ourselves last. I'm learning that looking after myself isn't selfish — it's something I deserve too. 🤎

My own self-care journey🤎

Truthfully, I haven't always liked myself & I haven't always known how to show myself care, love or compassion.

For many years, I completely disregarded my own needs & put everyone else's before my own. Looking after others comes naturally to me & although this isn’t a bad thing—for a long time, I thought that putting myself last was simply part of who I was.

But I'm learning that I matter too! & so do YOU!

Over the past few months, I've been making a conscious effort to bring much more self-care into my everyday life. I've been learning to slow down, practise mindfulness, speak more positively about myself—becoming more aware of the way I talk to & about myself.

I've been working on learning to love, believing & using positive intentions & manifestation to focus on the life & person I want to become. I'm also learning that self-care isn't something I should only turn to when I'm exhausted or overwhelmed—it needs to become part of my everyday life.

One of the biggest changes I've made is creating a strict morning self-care ritual. Starting my day with intention gives me a little time that belongs just to me—to breathe, reflect, practise gratitude, support my healthy through diet, read my affirmations & set my mindset for the day ahead.

I'm still learning. I don't get it right every day. There are still days when I struggle to be kind to myself. But I'm choosing to keep showing up for myself.

And that's what my self-care page represents to me.

It's a reminder that we don't have to be perfect to deserve love, care & kindness—including from ourselves.

If you've spent years putting everyone else first, I hope this page reminds you that you are allowed to make space for yourself too.
