Serves
4 glasses
Ingredients
1 cup watermelon
½ banana
1 peach
1 apricot
A generous handful of cherries
A generous handful of raspberries
½ large cooked beetroot
½ mango
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp flaxseeds
1 tbsp pumpkin seeds
2 cups coconut water
1 cup spring water
1 tbsp local, natural honey (optional, to taste)
Adjust the amount of coconut water or spring water depending on whether you prefer a thicker or thinner smoothie.
Method
1. Prepare
Wash all fresh fruit thoroughly. Peel & roughly chop the banana, peach, apricot & mango. Chop the cooked beetroot into smaller pieces.
2. Blend
Add all of the ingredients to a high-speed blender (making sure water is cold. You could add abit of ice if you want your smoothie colder.)
Blend for 2–3 minutes until smooth & creamy. NOTE: for extra sweetness, add a tablespoon of local honey- this will also add nutritional value.
